I’m sticking with a hard “G” (like “graphic”, as in “graphic image file”)
As with most file extensions, they began with 4 characters. A .giff is a Graphic Interchange File Format. But if it’s creator says “.jif” ..who am I to fuck up another man’s file format? (I’m sticking with the hard “g” also….just saying.)
